Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring open-heart and fresh post-surgical recovery experience.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
- 18-week assignment length
- Floating required within the hospital based on patient care needs
- Travel pairs accepted
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 3 years of CCU/ICU experience required
- Open-heart surgery experience required
- Experience recovering fresh post-surgical cardiac patients required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, ventilator management, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
- Experience with cardiac drips and vasoactive drip titration required
- Experience managing dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs required
- Device experience with balloon pumps, Impella, or similar technology preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct care to patients recovering from open-heart surgery and other cardiac interventions
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no block schedules accepted
- All RTO requests must be finalized prior to consideration, with no changes allowed afterward
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
- Former facility staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
- Required orientation modules are completed and signed off by facility managers
