Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with 2+ years of acute care OR experience and robotic/ENT surgery skills for a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Details
- Operating Room unit at a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Patient mix includes all OR specialties except Open Heart
- Must be able to Circulate and Scrub
- On-call required 2x per schedule
- Facility has an on-call room available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Charting completed in EPIC
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience required
- Robotic surgery and ENT experience required
- Experience in Ortho, Vascular, General, Thoracic, and Neuro surgery required
- Epic charting experience required
- Skills checklist and work history required for consideration
- At least 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrub and circulate across multiple surgical specialties including Vascular, Neurology, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Robotics, ENT, and Thoracic procedures
- Scrubs are provided
- Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), as needed
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Completion of non-billable EPIC training and additional modules required pre-start and annually
