Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a night shift role at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent CT experience and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Details

• Radiology department at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Performs CT exams on trauma, ER, outpatient, inpatient, research, and ICU patients, including CT-guided procedures
• Monday through Thursday schedule, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Rotating holiday coverage
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required
• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology program and high school diploma
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice, license required if applicable
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference (no charge nurses) dated within the last year

Additional Information

• Performs technical procedures and assists in clinical evaluation of patients under direction of Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
• Enforces radiation safety measures per NYS Department of Health code part 16
• Supports teaching and ongoing learning as CT technology evolves
• Flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions only (personal or religious declinations not accepted)
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius from specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
