Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent CT experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Radiology department within a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Performs CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (stable and intensive care), research patients, and trauma/ER cases
• Includes specialized CT scan-guided procedures
• Friday through Sunday shifts, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend coverage required every weekend
• Rotating holiday coverage

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
• High school diploma plus completion of the two-year program
• NYS Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in NY (license required if applicable)
• ARRT registration required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CT
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active NYS license required at time of consideration
• US Social Security Number required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Performs technical procedures under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
• Utilizes CT modality to create diagnostic images and ensure a safe, positive patient experience
• Supports teaching and ongoing learning as imaging technology evolves
• Practices and enforces radiation safety measures per NY State Department of Health code part 16
• Completion of competency testing may be required for certain units
• Facility only accepts medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with required make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius from specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
