Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and WI or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a hospital
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No scheduled weekends but weekend call required (currently 1 in 4)
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Floating required as needed
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Cerner charting system, experience preferred
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
- Experience required in General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN procedures
- Must have acute care experience in specialty within the last 3 years
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, urology, ENT, podiatry, and robotic-assisted procedures
- Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other robotic platforms is beneficial
- Free onsite parking provided
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
- Former UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
