Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Tele/Stepdown position requiring MO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience.
Details
- Flexacuity unit ranging from PCU/Stepdown to Telemetry, with a Neuro Tele/Stepdown focus
- 1:4 patient ratios
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to like units may be required
- No on-call requirements
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line/port management
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Experience with telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy management
- Experience with wound care and insulin drip titration preferred
Additional Information
- Level II Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital setting with 497 staffed beds
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Must work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
- Candidates must submit RTO dates at time of consideration
- Local candidates within 70 miles are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
