Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring 3+ years of experience and RDCS or RCS certification.
Details
- Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer unit within an Echocardiography department
- Level 1 trauma, acute care setting across both clinic and hospital locations
- 500 beds across all Fargo hospital campuses with 5 outpatient clinic rooms
- 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts with rotating start times of 0630, 0730, and 0830
- Staffed/call one weekend per month alongside another staff member
- Call one day per week with possibility of working alone after hours if called in
- Rotates between two separate campuses but never changes locations within the same day
- Equipment includes Philips Epiq, Affinity, and IE33 machines, GE E95 and Vivid E9
- Reporting systems include Epiq Cupid and Sectra Cardiology PACS
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- RDCS or RCS certification via CCI required
- Active BLS certification through AHA required
- NMTCB/NDMIRT certification preferred, willing to obtain if not already held
- Pediatric experience required
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program
- License required if applicable
- Performs inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms
- Occasional stress echocardiograms and assists with transesophageal echocardiograms
Additional Information
- Orientation begins in the clinic setting to learn protocols and expectations, then transitions to the hospital for way-finding, typically completed within two weeks
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrub color is gray
- Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
- Local candidates may be considered, though rates may be adjusted for those living within 80 miles of the facility
