Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position in a high-volume unit delivering approximately 3,000 babies annually, requiring KY or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit with 14 LDR rooms, 3 ORs, and a 4-bed OB ED
• Unit delivers approximately 3,000 babies annually
• Care spans low- to high-risk pregnancies with 24/7 anesthesia, neonatology, and OB support
• Nurses manage both maternal and newborn care
• Night shift schedule: 7PM to 7AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for maternal and newborn patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
