Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years experience in CT and X-ray imaging for a travel assignment on the coast of Maine.
Details
- Radiology department performing CT with cross-coverage in X-ray
- Experience with angiography and related procedures
- 13-week assignment with day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Schedule flexibility required as hours may vary week to week
- Majority of time spent in CT with potential float to X-ray based on daily staffing needs
- Possible float up to 25 miles between facilities as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
- Experience with x-ray imaging and angiography procedures required
- License required if applicable
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures including angiography-related studies
- Located near the Maine coast with access to walking trails and nearby ski resorts
- RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Airpods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit

Pros
This hospital is hands down the least toxic hospital I have ever had the privilege of working. I absolutely love the people I work with. Everyone I come into contact with likes what they do and they do it with passion. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s close.
Cons
It’s a smaller hospital, so there’s a lot of critical care devices (CRRT, ECMO, etc) to work with like level 1 trauma centers have.
