Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 20 ACU beds and 11 CCU beds
• Patient population includes neuro/spine, pressor-dependent patients, and those requiring BiPAP with high FiO2 who may need intubation and transition to ICU level of care
• Typical patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 1:1 depending on acuity
• 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930) and night shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours per week
• Floating required to ICU level or below throughout the hospital
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths required
• Experience with DKA, BiPAP, High Flow, post-TCAR, and femoral endarterectomy care required
• Arterial line experience required
• Impella and/or IABP experience preferred, with competency validation required on assignment

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex neuro, vascular, and respiratory conditions
• Professional attire required, scrubs of any color accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
