Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an LTAC Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active SC or compact license and 1+ year of EPIC experience.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit providing care to medically complex patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to other units or campuses based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU settings
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and cardiac/respiratory assessment skills preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a long-term acute care setting
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and trauma level experience preferred but not required
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance modules required for all staff
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience level
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift travelers in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with reduced pay for 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
