Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AWHONN and NRP certification along with fetal monitoring skills.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting covering Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units
• Unit includes 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds
• Patient population consists of maternity women and newborns
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation, as needed
• Call requirement of 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Couplet care experience preferred
• Centricity and Meditech experience preferred but not required
• PALS certification preferred
• Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color accepted, casual attire and other facility apparel not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible at the local rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
