Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring an AZ or compact license and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Patient diagnoses include CAD, AMI, CHF, and PAD
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirement of approximately 15-16 days within a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Locals accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Meditech charting experience highly preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterizations
• Experience with PCI, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy
• Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal, vascular closure systems, and topical hemostasis
• Proficient in 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and cardioversion
• Experience with IV therapy, infusion pumps, and administration of emergency and vasoactive medications
• Knowledge of radiation and laser safety protocols

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI and vascular studies
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias and procedural sedation using end-tidal CO2 monitoring
• Participate in electrophysiology procedures and cardioversion
• Holiday coverage required
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• RTO should be kept to a minimum at time of consideration
• Monday orientation scheduled for new assignment start
