Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry experience and at least 1 year of acute care experience.
Details
- Acute care Med/Surg unit (4EC) with remote telemetry monitoring, 32 beds
- Telemetry monitored 24/7 but only applied to patients as ordered
- Patient population includes COPD, cellulitis, GI bleed, alcohol intoxication, CHF, hospitalist patients, stable strokes, TIA, and BiPAP patients
- Manages Heparin IV drips; no cardiac drips administered on this unit
- Schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts
- Uses Cerner EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or compact)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BSN not required
Additional Information
- Care for medical-surgical patients with remote telemetry needs who do not require a cardiac floor
- Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
