Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active NY RN license in hand and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• EPIC charting experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• Peripheral line care and management experience required
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula and oxygen administration required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit, including cardiac monitoring and respiratory support
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees must have at least 6 months since their last assignment with the health system
• Candidates must have 10 days or less of requested time off (RTO) to be considered
