Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 110 staffed beds
- General medical and surgical patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including to another facility and to surgical or telemetry units
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required by compliance deadline
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Feeding tube care and management skills
- Non-invasive airway management skills
- IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management skills
Additional Information
- Navy scrub color required
- Some initial orientation will occur on weekdays due to weekend class availability
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to be eligible for this position
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
- Standard travelers may stay for an 18-month period and must take a 3-month break in service afterward
- Free parking available in the parking lot
