Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

• Rotating day/night shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• Acute care setting with 30-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7, RN must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
• Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
• Intermittent BIPAP used on unit, no ventilators
• Charge RN on the floor with assignment
• PCTs available on the unit to support nursing staff
• Floating required as needed based on census, with external travelers floated first
• Up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• No standby or call requirement
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must submit a copy of unexpired driver's license with application
• Must be within a 50-mile radius
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
