Opportunity:
CT Technologist
Job Details:
• Perform all required radiographic procedures under the direction of the Radiologist
• Must perform X-rays and Fluoroscopy, including procedures in the OR
• Operate computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patient's body for diagnostic purposes
• Position and immobilize patients on examining table using supportive devices following Radiologist protocols
• Administer contrast media orally and/or IV contrast as ordered by referring physician or Radiologist
• Enter technical data such as scan type, slice thickness, and scan time into scanner computer
• Monitor patient safety and comfort through intercom system and observation window
• Evaluate exam images for technical quality on video display screen
• Responsible for all aspects of Quality Control for the CT area
• Transport patients according to their physical abilities relative to exams requested
• Assist in performing special procedures while practicing sterile technique and Universal Precautions
• Maintain all records according to X-Ray Department policies and procedures
• Clean rooms following each examination and restock linen and supplies as needed
• Must be able to move and lift patients and equipment (40-80 lbs. unassisted and 80-250 lbs. with assistance)
• Two years of previous experience preferred
• Must have satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training from an AMA approved school
• ARRT registration required
• Registered/certified CT Technologist required
• BLS Certification required
