Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: D2, 2nd floor
Beds: 20
Patient Type: Inpatient overflow with mixed level of care (medical surgical and/or step-down patients)
Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch depending on level of care)
Short stay patients (<24 hr LOS) with quick turnover
Equipment: Telemetry (all patients hardwired to bedside monitor if telemetry monitoring indicated)
EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills & Experience

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Telemetry competency

Certifications & Licenses

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Work Schedule & Environment

Every other weekend required
No on-call required
Floating required: Travelers must float to other units as needed
Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
