Description
CT Technologist – Part-Time
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11234
Duration: 8 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 3×7.5-hour shifts (Schedule: Varied)
Hours per Week: 22.5
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Requirements:
• New York State License (L.R.T) in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification in Radiography and current CT certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
Skills & Responsibilities:
• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure accuracy and quality
• Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures
• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic images
• Perform daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment
• Administer contrast or radioactive materials per physician orders and protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and charge records
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing
• Follow radiation safety guidelines in compliance with ALARA principles
• Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation
• Order and receive patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses as per policy
• Verify activity levels prior to administration
