Job Title: CT Technologist – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10003
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Varied Shifts
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a contract assignment in a fast-paced radiology environment. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, adherence to radiation safety standards, and compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure optimal diagnostic image quality

  • Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment prior to patient studies

  • Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals as ordered by physicians, following established protocols

  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles

  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, logs, and charge records in compliance with regulatory standards

  • Perform quality assurance and safety testing as required

  • Retrieve, maintain, and manage patient imaging data and electronic records for radiologist interpretation

  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance and verify receipt and activity levels prior to administration

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after CT procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions in accordance with departmental policy

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)

  • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience

  • Current BLS certification

  • Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient care, and radiation safety practices
