Job Title: CT Technologist – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10003
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Varied Shifts
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a contract assignment in a fast-paced radiology environment. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, adherence to radiation safety standards, and compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure optimal diagnostic image quality

Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment prior to patient studies

Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals as ordered by physicians, following established protocols

Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles

Complete and maintain accurate documentation, logs, and charge records in compliance with regulatory standards

Perform quality assurance and safety testing as required

Retrieve, maintain, and manage patient imaging data and electronic records for radiologist interpretation

Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance and verify receipt and activity levels prior to administration

Monitor patients before, during, and after CT procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs

Identify and report equipment malfunctions in accordance with departmental policy
Requirements
-
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)
-
ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience

Current BLS certification
-
Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient care, and radiation safety practices
