Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Transplant)
Location:  Weston, FL 33331
Department/Unit: Operating Room, TRANSPLANT-RN
Shift: Day, 4x10-hour (06:45 – 17:15)
Start Date: 03/02/2026
Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative care in the Operating Room for adult and geriatric patients.
Participate in liver, heart, kidney, and lung transplant surgeries.
Assist in general surgery procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, and Whipple.
Maintain strict infection control and laser safety protocols.
Operate and manage OR equipment, including Electrosurgical Units, Fiber Optic Light Sources, Hana Table, Steris, and Misonix/CUSA devices.
Follow Universal Protocol ("Time Out”) procedures, specimen handling, and labeling.
Train and mentor students and new staff in a teaching facility environment.
Complete time-sensitive mandatory modules pre-start.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years direct liver/transplant OR experience.
ACLS and BLS certification (must have at time of submission).
NIHSS certification required prior to start.
Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA and transplant implantation procedures.
Experience charting in EPIC.
