🩺 LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical (5400/5500)
📍 Rochester 14621
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 06/09/2026

Shift: Night – 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday: Every other holiday (if needed)
• Floating required
• First-time travelers accepted

🏥 Unit Details:

• Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Patient Population: COPD exacerbation, infections, failure to thrive, social issues

📋 Requirements:

• Active New York LPN License (non-compact required)
• BLS Certification ( required )
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have acute care experience within the last 2 years
• Must be able to manage own patient assignment with RN support

⭐ Preferred:

• Experience in MS/Tele setting
• Strong clinical and communication skills

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs, pain assessment, and intake/output monitoring
• Maintain isolation precautions, restraints, and specimen labeling

• Medication administration (oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, eye/ear drops)
• IV therapy with pumps and blood glucose monitoring

• Telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG
• Oxygen administration via nasal cannula
• Feeding tube management

• Wound care (simple dressings, JP/Hemovac drains)
• Foley catheter insertion and urine collection

• Bathing, mouth care, and patient hygiene
• Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD

• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation
