Position Details:

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: 4x10-hour day/night shifts

• Hours per Week: 40 hours

• Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements

• Floating: May be required to float to a sister facility

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.

• Select appropriate kV and mA techniques based on patient needs and examination requirements.

• Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control checks before conducting patient studies.

• Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately before, during, and after imaging procedures.

• Follow radiation safety guidelines and the ALARA principle to minimize patient radiation exposure.

• Maintain accurate patient records, equipment logs, and other required documentation.

• Maintain and retrieve patient images and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.

• Perform quality assurance and safety checks to ensure equipment operates properly.

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals when required and follow established protocols for handling and verifying doses.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA/J.CERT-approved Radiologic Technology program.

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.).

• ARRT certification with current CT certification.

• Current CPR/BLS certification.

• New York State IV certification.

• Cardiac CT experience.
