Position: Radiologic Technologist - CT

Schedule

Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with rotational weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• New York State license/registration.
• Minimum of one year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities

The radiologic technologist will perform radiographic examinations under the supervision of departmental radiologists. Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting and educating patients about the examination procedure.
• Positioning patients effectively to obtain high-quality radiographs.
• Setting appropriate exposure factors to achieve required imaging quality.
• Implementing radiation safety protocols to minimize undue exposure.
• Maintaining proficient operation of imaging equipment to ensure quality studies.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor promptly.
• Processing films and documenting patient information in the Radiology Information System.
• Adhering to department procedures and policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Providing radiologic examinations based on the needs and requests of referring physicians and radiologists.
