Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: D2, 2nd floor
• Beds: 20
• Patient Type: Inpatient overflow with mixed level of care (medical surgical and/or step-down patients)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch depending on level of care)
• Short stay patients (<24 hr LOS) with quick turnover
• Equipment: Telemetry (all patients hardwired to bedside monitor if telemetry monitoring indicated)
• EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills & Experience

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Telemetry competency

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Work Schedule & Environment

• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating required: Travelers must float to other units as needed
• Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
