Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Acute Dialysis

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN to provide nursing care in an Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, administering medications and treatments, and developing individualized patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to standards.
• Develop and execute patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience, including dialysis experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Schedule Details

• 40 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays schedule.
• On-call schedule averages 3-4 days per month, including one weekend per month.

Experience
