Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under supervision. This includes education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction.
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up.
• Evaluate patient needs through gathering information, disease education, testing, and consultations.
• Develop rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to support treatment goals.
• Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour daily.
• Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.

Contract Length

Approximately 8 weeks (58 days rounded to 8 weeks).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
