Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: New York, NY
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Description
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
- Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
- Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders and protocols.
- Maintain thorough documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
- Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
- Exercise sound judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
Requirements
- Licensing: New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license (L.R.T) required.
- Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and CT (current).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience.
- Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
