Employment Type: Clinical Nursing Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Independently provides nursing care to acutely ill pediatric patients under nurse leader supervision.
Performs nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care.
Creates a compassionate, patient- and family-centered care environment.
Collects and documents patient data; interprets assessment data to identify physiological and psychosocial risks.
Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Prioritizes nursing actions based on education, experience, and patient assessment.
Establishes nursing diagnoses and revises care plans as needed.
Responds quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status and emergencies.
Coordinates care activities with nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers.
Adheres to evidence-based practices, therapeutic standards, infection control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations.
Participates in professional development, staff meetings, and nursing governance activities.
Maintains competencies and mandatory education as required by the Department of Nursing.
Complies with RN scope of practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and California Nurse Practice Act.
Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in pediatric nursing care.

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
Valid and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Current American Heart Association certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Knowledge and experience with Cerner EMR system.
Must meet all health requirements designated by the employer.
Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, medical terminology, instruments, equipment, and medication effects.
