Job Description

As a Clinical Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality nursing care based on established nursing models and theories. Your role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. You will provide care tailored to the physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and health restoration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing ongoing patient assessments and formulating nursing diagnoses.
• Developing and modifying individualized care plans.
• Teaching patients and families about health treatments and care needs.
• Safely using medical equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
• Delegating tasks appropriately and supervising care team members.
• Advocating for patients’ rights and informed decision-making.
• Providing culturally competent and ethical care within legal standards.
• Coordinating patient care activities with healthcare professionals.
• Documenting nursing care according to policies.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences and assisting in complaint resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 3 years acute care experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous travel nursing experience
