Job Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic CT imaging using appropriate kV and mA techniques, ensuring quality control and calibration of equipment, and adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Duties include injecting patients with radioactive material as per physician orders, maintaining patient records, ordering and verifying radiopharmaceutical doses, and performing CT procedures according to prescribed protocols. The technologist must assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- New York State License (L.R.T)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
- ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of CT experience
