Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse II works under the supervision of the Director and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies and procedures and the Nurse Practice Act. The RN will individualize patient care based on age-appropriate and developmental needs and will direct co-workers in the implementation of the care plan. Collaboration with physicians, patients/families, and healthcare team members is essential to deliver a comprehensive care plan. The RN utilizes positive communication skills and may be required to work on other nursing units based on staffing and patient distribution. The role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical Registered Nurse experience in specialty areas.
- Recent Epic experience: Minimum of six (6) - twelve (12) months within the past year.
- Current California RN license.
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards.
- Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- Must have successfully completed SVMH Pharmacology test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Open to floating within cluster/similar department.
- Highly desirable: Two (2) years of ED experience.
Additional Information:
- No RTO during Thanksgiving; all requests will be reviewed.
- Pay range: $74/hr - $111/hr.
- Benefits may include stipends (for clinical traveler workers), medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other compulsory benefits.
