Job Summary:
Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. The role involves performing daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment, injecting patients with radioactive material as per physician orders, and observing all department documentation policies. The technologist will perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and retrieving patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation, ordering patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses, and verifying proper receipt and activity levels of radiopharmaceuticals.
Required Qualifications:
• Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• New York State License (L.R.T)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of CT experience

Additional Information:
Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
