Job Summary:

The CT technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence while performing tasks such as obtaining necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures, maintaining sterility of field and instruments, and preparing requisitions correctly. They will communicate effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity. Responsibilities include verifying patient identification, observing patient conditions before and after contrast injections, ensuring availability of medical records, and initiating emergency responses if complications arise. The technologist will maintain adequate supplies, adhere to room assignments, assist in inventory management, and participate in routine cleaning of equipment and work areas. They will also ensure efficient workflow, coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedures, and maintain QA/QC requirements. Adherence to venipuncture and power injector protocols is mandatory, along with notifying radiologists of unusual findings to provide optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program
• ARRT RT (R) certification
• ARRT RT (CT) certification
• NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
• BLS Certification
