Job Title: RN - Rehab - Contract - MSM
Location: Mount Sinai Morningside

Job Summary: The RN in Rehabilitation Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside delivers patient care through the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care, utilizing the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include assessing and evaluating patient care needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring quality and safety in patient-centered care. The role also involves operational duties such as charge nurse responsibilities, resource management, and accurate documentation. Professional development is emphasized, with opportunities for advancing clinical competence, ethical decision-making, and participation in shared decision-making initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- 2 years of rehabilitation and mechanical ventilation experience
- 1 year of travel experience (required for travel positions only)
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPIC experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program
