Job Title: RN-Endoscopy
Location: South Carolina
Contract Length: Permanent
Job Summary: To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. This role involves applying professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The RN-Endoscopy will interact with patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors, ensuring effective communication and maintaining a safe healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
- Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Skill in applying and modifying principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, and the public.
- Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred or required within five (5) years of hire date.
- ACLS certification required for positions located in the Pain Management Clinic.
- NRP certification required for WIC service RNs within six (6) months of hire.
Additional Information:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, and lifting/moving patients.
- Intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue, and possible exposure to infectious materials and communicable diseases.
- May require working under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
