Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist)
Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiographer performs radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by a physician. This role involves utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. The Radiographer ensures optimal patient care, safety, and comfort while adhering to department protocols.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
Certifications/Licenses:
• Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire).
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Flexible and committed to the team concept.

Additional Information:
• Work may involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients.
• Occasionally requires lifting and/or moving equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
• Must practice customer service skills and demonstrate values such as communication, ownership, sensitivity, and respect.
