The selected candidate will perform both scheduled and emergency CT imaging procedures while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team at a leading pediatric healthcare facility.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging examinations on scheduled and emergency patients
• Review imaging orders and ensure appropriateness of procedures
• Obtain and verify patient history
• Accurately identify patients using established safety protocols
• Administer and monitor imaging procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Demonstrate proficiency with IV placement
• Maintain image quality and exam data integrity standards
• Utilize radiology information systems and imaging software applications
• Assist with general X-ray procedures as needed
• Follow departmental quality assurance and safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
• ARRT (R) Certification
• ARRT (CT) Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum one year of pediatric CT experience
• Proficiency in IV placement
• Ability to work varied, rotating, overnight, and weekend schedules
• Ability to meet all federal, state, and facility requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Experience in high-volume hospital imaging departments
• Experience performing emergency and trauma imaging
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and safety standards
• Familiarity with multiple radiology information systems and imaging applications

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.  These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics.  The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
