Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Longview, Texas
Employment type: Travel
Schedule: Full-time, days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Patient population: Mixed diagnoses and acuity, including respiratory, sepsis, and multiple comorbidities

Required Qualifications

License: Valid RN license in Texas
Experience: Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Recent experience: Telemetry experience within the last year
Certifications: BLS issued by American Heart Association; ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
2 years of experience in the related nursing specialty

Role Expectations

Provides nursing care using the nursing process
Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers
Completes required orientation, competency validation, and annual competency verification
