CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating scans, adhering strictly to department policies for patient safety. - Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging. - Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures for comfort. - Insert IVs when necessary for tests. - Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility, utilizing safe patient handling practices. - Maintain accurate patient record-keeping by properly documenting all components in EPIC, ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system after exam completion. - Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• HCPs registered in NYS must have injection therapy certification on license at submission.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure required prior to position.
• Two years of experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).

Preferred:

• Injection certification preferred, willingness to complete during the orientation process.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
