Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced MS/Tele RN for an 18-week Neuroscience travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $2,795/week*
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Contract: 18 weeks
Schedule: 4x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 48 hours/week
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Self-Scheduling
Floating: Required, primarily to Med Surg
Epic: Required
Travel Experience: Required
Required Experience — Important
This position has specific experience requirements:
2+ years total RN experience – HARD STOP
At least 1 full year of direct Medical Surgical experience – HARD STOP
Remaining experience may include MS/Tele, Telemetry or PCU
At least 2 successfully completed travel assignments – HARD STOP
BLS and NIHSS required
ACLS preferred
MS/Tele experience alone does not satisfy the requirement. The candidate's work history must show direct Medical Surgical experience.
Clinical Experience
Candidates should have experience with:
CVA/Stroke patients
Seizure disorders
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Blood product administration
Central and peripheral line management
Cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration
Rapid Response/Code situations
Intracranial bleeds, TBI and spinal cord injury experience preferred
Neuro Stepdown/PCU experience preferred
About the Unit
This is a high-volume Neuroscience/MS-Tele unit caring primarily for adult and geriatric patients with neurological conditions including:
Stroke/CVA
Seizures
Subdural hematomas
Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)
Brain tumors
Neurosurgical conditions
The unit also includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with an intermediate-level 1:4 patient ratio.
