Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN for a 13-week Neuro Medicine travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $3,020/week*
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 48 hours/week
Patient Ratio: 1:6–7
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Floating: Required
Travel Experience: Not required
Orientation: 24 hours
Unit: 24-bed Neuro Medicine/Med Surg
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience – HARD STOP
BLS and ACLS
Experience caring for adult and geriatric Med Surg patients
CVA/Stroke patient experience
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
Peripheral IV management
Oxygen and non-invasive airway management
Neuro experience preferred
MS/Tele or telemetry experience preferred
Charge RN experience preferred
NIHSS preferred
About the Unit
This is a Medical Surgical unit with a neurological focus, caring for adult and geriatric patients with general medical conditions as well as neurological diagnoses.
The ideal traveler will be comfortable with:
CVA/Stroke patients
Neurological assessments
Med/Surg patient management
Cardiac monitoring
Dysrhythmia interpretation
IV therapy
Respiratory support
Rapid response situations
