Join our team as a CT Technologist in Rochester, NY, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging. This position is ideal for a dedicated Rad Tech/CT professional looking for a contract opportunity with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility while utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure must be obtained PRIOR to starting the position.
• Two (2) Years' Experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association ONLY.

Preferred:

• Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during the orientation process.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
