Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Position: Registered Nurse (Telemetry RN) – Travel Nurse
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (Asheville nursing jobs, North Carolina travel nurse)
• Unit: 5 West Medicine – Telemetry Unit (36 beds)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel
• Weekend Requirement: Sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Telemetry or Telemetry nursing
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Comfortable using Cerner EMR and workstation-on-wheels
• Able to float to Med-Surg sister units as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• CMSRN certification encouraged
• Leadership or Charge Nurse experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients on a 36-bed medical telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patients using medical telemetry equipment and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Prepare and assist patients for procedures including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and OR
• Document clinical care and patient observations accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including RNs, CNAs, HUCs, and sitters to maintain patient safety
• Uphold standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and nursing distinction
• Follow unit dress code: navy blue or white scrubs
