Telemetry Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Setting: 6 West Neurosciences, Telemetry Unit (36-bed unit)
• Location: Asheville, NC — North Carolina travel nursing opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs

Telemetry RN Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg RN experience; Telemetry RN or Neuro telemetry background preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred (electronic medical records experience)
• Neuroscience or neuro experience is a plus
• Outgoing, self-motivated, team-oriented bedside nurse

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a 36-bed Telemetry/Neurosciences unit — monitor and manage patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
• Perform typical bedside nursing procedures including Foley insertion, IV starts, and medication administration
• Use Cerner EMR for accurate, timely documentation and patient charting
• Assess telemetry monitors and respond to cardiac and neuro changes following unit protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, CNAs, and HUCs to coordinate patient care
• Float to other Med-Surg floors as needed to support hospital staffing
• Adhere to unit policies and guidelines; utilize the new staff reference book provided at the start of the contract
