Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) — compact license accepted
• Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry or Med-Surg RN experience; neuro/neurosciences experience preferred
• Current ACLS and NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certifications required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Outgoing, self-motivated, team-focused personality

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population on a busy 36-bed neuroscience telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform unit procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and IV starts
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including charge nurses, CNAs, and HUCs
• Float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units as needed
• Adhere to unit policies and use provided new-staff reference materials
