Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Travel Contract | Asheville, NC

PCU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Asheville, NC (28801): 13-week travel contract, 12-hour day shifts. Active RN license (NC or compact) and recent PCU experience required. Join our travel nurse team in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina.

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse, On-Site

Job Requirements

Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
BLS certification required
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Preferred: telemetry / step-down experience or acute care background

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / step-down setting
Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to clinical changes
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Provide patient and family education on health conditions and post-discharge care
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
