Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
• Location: Cumming, Georgia (30041) — Cumming, GA travel nurse opportunity; Georgia nursing jobs
• Setting: Acute Ortho Unit, Medical-Surgical; inpatient surgical unit with 32 private rooms
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:30), 3 shifts per week — night shift orthopedic nursing
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/15/2026)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in orthopedic nursing or medical-surgical nursing (post-op ortho preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA BLS & NIH Stroke Certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• No local candidates within 50 miles for this travel assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients in a 32-bed inpatient unit
• Deliver post-operative care, pain management, wound care, and mobility support for orthopedic patients
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and escalate care as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments following policies and safety protocols
• Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge planning, and home safety after orthopedic procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and infection control standards
