• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg, Nights
• Setting: Med/Surg Unit (16 beds)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Patient Ratio: Up to 6:1
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be eligible to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute Med/Surg experience
• Ability to manage a patient load of 4–6 patients in an acute care Med/Surg setting
• Proficiency in standard nursing skills: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
• Friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused attitude
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units and participate in rotating weekend shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg and COVID+ patients in an acute care setting
• Perform standard nursing procedures including IV and urinary catheter insertions, central line maintenance, and safe medication administration
• Collaborate closely with physicians, PCAs, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the Meditech EMR system
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and supportive environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit-based initiatives and adhere to infection control and clinical safety protocols
